Granola bars

Hempseed granola bars are perfect for a quick nutricious snack on the go or for a little delicious treat at home. There is no need to feel guilty, because they are just so healthy, but taste amazing.

For 10 hempseed granola bars you need:

  • 25g peeled hempseeds
  • 20g chia seeds
  • 50g agave syrup – or honey
  • 40g butter – or for the vegans out there margarine
  • 50g buckwheat flakes
  • 15g sunflower seeds
  • If needed cinnamon and little bit of salt
  • 1 Msp. ground vanilla (or half a packet vanilla sugar)
  • You can also add some dried fruit if you want to

Preparation:

First heat the butter or margarine until completely melted. Then add the agave syrup or honey and mix well,

Add the dry ingredients – i.e. hemp and chia seeds, buckwheat flakes, sunflower seeds, cinnamon, salt and ground vanilla (if you don’t want the extra work, or if you just need to go fast, you can do without ground vanilla and use half a packet of vanilla infused sugar instead).

Spread the whole thing on a baking tray lined with baking sheets and form a rectangle. If you have a Brownie baking tin or other ovenproof, rectangular forms, you can use these.

The mix is enough for half a baking sheet. Bake in the oven with 160-180°C (depending on your oven) for approx. 15 minutes.

Once the whole thing´s done with baking, you should cut it into small rectangles, into your desired size, and let it cool well. For a cute touch, you could also use cookie cutters to make different shapes. If you want to give away the hemp seeds muesli bars, you can wrap them nicely (for example in plastic or paper bags and add a cute a bow). But if you want to enjoy them yourself, we can recommend making our hemp seed smoothies or cannabis milkshakes and having both.
